So many books so Little Time...

Does anyone else feel this way? I have a tall pile of books that I just can't wait to delve into, and it feels as though I just can't read fast enough. Do they have support groups out there for this type of nonsense? Maybe I should put all of the used book sales on hold for a while until I get control of this....

haha--they are hard to resist, huh? I have over 200 books that I haven't read yet. I'm reading one now that I've had on my shelf for at least six years...

I get really frustrated/overwhelmed as well but I have to remember just to take it one day at a time.

Thanks for the reassurance. I don't have anywhere near 200. Now I don't feel so bad. Houston says we need to buy a huge book shelf that takes up the wall for my addiction. What an enabler.

keep in mind that I've been collecting for years! Every year Plano has a huge library sale and I go and load up--the book I'm reading now is from one years ago. I know it's crazy and stupid, but I can't help it--there are worse things I can spend money on...right??? I would die to have a library like Aunt Fran had--I loved looking at all her books. Did you know that Aunt Terry got a first edition Huckleberry Finn from the library when Fran passed.

No I had no Idea!!! That is amazing.
How did she manage that? jealousy.

Luck of the draw--and the book was greatly underappraised (which was good because if it had been appraised correctly it probably would have gone into auction instead of staying in the "family"). But ya--pretty cool. I really really want it. :)

If you find a support group, please let me know. My husband has been searching for a place to put me. He's just lucky this is my only vice...well alright...my second vice =)

LOL... I feel right at home in this discussion! I, too, have over 200 books that sit in my collection, unread, calling to me! LOL. And, the only solace I've found is that I'm not the only one with this problem!

See the Yahoo! group BookCrazy if you want to be among friends with the same issues! LOL... they're all "book crazy", and yet they (and I) love it! ;)

There are worse addictions... ;)

Sigh, I hear you. I kind of want to not get any more books until I've reduced the tbr pile to, say, 20 books. But I doubt I have the will power :P

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one with this addiction. I think that my stack grows overnight while I'm sleeping because it just seems to multiply constantly.

How do you decide which one to read next?? I keep telling myself that I need to stop going to the library and read what I have at home, but the library is my little happy place and I just cannot stay away!
